The National Council of Canadian Muslims (NCCM) is very pleased to announce its 2015 – 2016 Empowerment Tour: Strengthening Our Communities, heading to a major city near you!
Over the next several months, the NCCM will be building on its successful advocacy by motivating and advancing grassroots civic engagement in Canadian Muslim communities.
Coming soon to a city near you:
The NCCM’s Empowerment Tour in five cities will feature our highly appreciated Leadership Bootcamps which provide intensive workshops in countering Islamophobia, media relations and public advocacy to community activists and aspiring leaders.
The other part of this tour will be fundraising dinners featuring keynote speaker Dean Obeidallah, a successful American comedian and commentator who will talk about how we can use creative ways to overcome Islamophobia and build positive narratives about Muslims and Islam, as well as Myriam Francois-Cerrah.
Let’s build on the momentum Canadians everywhere are feeling following a federal election that saw the highest voter engagement since 1993. The NCCM is ready to take its advocacy to the next level. We need you to join this national effort.
We’re in Montreal April 30 and May 1st, and in Toronto May 14 & May 15, 2016!
Tickets are now on sale for Montreal & Toronto (click on the links above)!
