Civil Liberties Organization Considering Appeal of Bill 21 Stay Decision

(Montreal – July 18, 2019) The National Council of Canadian Muslims (NCCM) and the Canadian Civil Liberties Association (CCLA) have received Justice Yergeau’s decision that denied our application for a stay of Bill 21.
“No one ever said that defending our civil liberties would be easy” said Mustafa Farooq, Executive Director of NCCM, “We are reviewing the decision now, and are considering our options to appeal.”
