The National Council of Canadian Muslims (NCCM) is seeking a skilled and committed Staff Lawyer to advance our mission of justice and civil rights advocacy. This role offers the chance to address critical administrative law issues affecting Muslim and other racialized communities across Canada. 

Job Title: Staff Lawyer (Administrative Law)

Location: Flexible – Remote or Hybrid Options Available

Position Type: Full Time

Experience Level: Mid-Career to Senior

Key Responsibilities 

  • Provide expert legal advice and representation in administrative law matters. 
  • Draft legal briefs, submissions, and appeals for administrative tribunals and courts. 
  • Support NCCM’s legal education initiatives through workshops, training sessions, and public outreach on administrative law topics. 

Qualifications 

  • Licensed lawyer in good standing with a provincial or territorial law society in Canada. 
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in administrative law, including immigration, regulatory law, or tribunal advocacy. 
  • Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills. 
  • Demonstrated commitment to justice, equity, and supporting marginalized communities. 
  • Familiarity with issues affecting Muslim and racialized communities in Canada is a strong asset.
