Lina El Bakir
-On Leave- Lina El Bakir is NCCM's Quebec Advocacy Officer. She grew up in Montreal where she gained a deep appreciation for the strength of a diverse community. She is passionate about social justice which led her to pursue a degree in International Development and Globalization, as well as a Licence in Civil Law from the University of Ottawa. Karine Devost has over two decades of legal experience gaining deep insight into the legal issues impacting Canadian Muslim communities.
As a long-standing member of the Ottawa Muslim community, Karine has been active in providing strategic advice to a wide range of community members. She has also been a highly sought-after speaker on various issues in Ottawa's mosques and other Muslim spaces.

Nadiya Ali is a PhD Candidate in Sociology specializing in anti-racism, community empowerment, and Islamophobia. Nadiya brings extensive experience in education, research, and community development to her role as NCCM's Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Specialist.

Omar Khamissa
Omar Khamissa is NCCM's Manager of Community Engagement. He was born and raised in Aurora, Ontario and has been involved with the Muslim community from a very young age. Since the age of fifteen, Omar has been engaging his community on various topics, bringing to light the issues affecting Canadian Muslims. He also served as a youth coordinator and headed up mosque fundraising committees until he went off to university. Nusaiba Al-Azem
-On leave- Since her formative years, Nusaiba has demonstrated keen interest and involvement in social justice issues, in particular pertaining to Muslim communities. As a registered social worker, she holds a BSW from King's University College, where she gained experienced in both individual counselling and community development work.

Faisal Khan Suri of Edmonton, Alberta is the Chief Development Officer of the National Council of Canadian Muslims.
