Mihad Fahmy is a lawyer and chair of the NCCM Human Rights Committee. In this capacity, she leads the NCCM’s anti-discrimination legal advocacy and strategic dispute resolution for human rights cases. She is a graduate of Queen’s University Faculty of Law and was called to the Bar in 1997. She went on to obtain her Master of Laws (LL.M) with a focus on minority rights and constitutional law.
Mihad has practiced union-side labour law for over 10 years, regularly representing unions at grievance arbitrations and mediations. Her practice also focuses heavily on human rights and advising employees who have experienced discrimination in the workplace.
