Fatima Sajan obtained an honours degree in political science from York University in 2008. Since then, she has worked in both community engagement and fund development. She currently volunteers with several non-profit groups focusing on diversity, inclusion, human rights and civic engagement.
These experiences have given her a deep appreciation for how NGOs seek to improve the quality of life for fellow Canadians. In 2014, she was a recipient of the “Women Who Inspire” award by the Canadian Council of Muslim Women. In 2015, Fatima joined the NCCM staff and serves as the organization’s Development Officer.
