A graduate in law and social sciences, Eve Torres has been a dedicated community advocate for more than 16 years in Quebec. Eve has led and participated in several community initiatives in Montreal with a focus on human rights, Islamophobia, and anti-racism campaigns.

Eve served as a researcher with the Quebec Human Rights and Youth Rights Commission to document the overall climate towards Muslims in the province. Since 2013, she has also led a grassroots volunteer organization called La Voie Des Femmes (the Voice of Women) that works to bring forward the voices of minority women in Quebec.

Eve joined the professional staff as NCCM’s Montreal-based Public Affairs Coordinator, focusing on community engagement, media relations and strategic advocacy in Quebec.
