Expected hours of work: 40 hours a week (some weekend and evening availability required)

Compensation: Commensurate with experience.

Key Duties: NCCM is seeking a passionate and dynamic Ottawa Development Coordinator to spearhead our community engagement and fundraising efforts in the Ottawa region. This position plays a critical role in strengthening relationships with local stakeholders, driving financial support, and expanding NCCM’s visibility and impact in the region.
The Ottawa Development Coordinator will be responsible for driving local community engagement, advocacy mobilization, and fundraising efforts, working closely with donors, business clients, and supporters to build meaningful relationships. The role includes leading volunteer teams, organizing events, and coordinating outreach activities that enhance NCCM’s presence and fundraising capacity. Additionally, the Ottawa Development Coordinator will build partnerships with local organizations, mosques, and institutions to advance advocacy efforts and connect communities to NCCM’s national resources. Serving as a key ambassador for NCCM, the Ottawa Development Coordinator will promote public advocacy campaigns and respond to local community needs while ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
Your skills will include:
- At minimum two years of post-secondary education; university degree preferred
- Team player
- 1-3 years of retail/sales experience preferred
- Knowledge of basic computer skills (including the ability to use iPad/laptop, mobile POS and Internet)
- Ability to work on a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the organization, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Solid understanding of the NCCM’s mission and mandate
- Ability to work under tight timelines in an efficient and focused manner.
- Good presentation, interpersonal and organizing skills.
- Valid driver’s license and access to vehicle.
